Self-Esteem Vs. Self-Confidence
“Nothing builds self-esteem and self-confidence like accomplishment.” - Thomas Carlyle. Self-esteem and self-confidence seem like pretty much the same thing, but they’re not, the terms self-esteem and self-confidence are often used interchangeably when referring to how you feel about yourself. Although they are very similar, they are two different concepts. It is important to understand their roles when looking to improve your overall sense of self.
Self-esteem is often seen as a personality trait, which means that it tends to be stable and enduring, it can involve a variety of beliefs about yourself, such as the appraisal of your own appearance, beliefs, emotions, and behaviors. Self-esteem is important because you can motivate how you can fulfill your mission and your role in your life and the society in which you are involved. Signs of healthy Self-esteem are your confidence in things, the Negative experiences do not impact your overall perspective and you see your strength and weakness as a person. Self-confidence as an individual’s trust in his or her own abilities, capacities, and judgments, or belief that he or she can successfully face day to day challenges and demands (Psychology Dictionary Online). Self-Confidence gives you a lot of pleasure, especially when you know you can do something you are motivated by doing this. Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence should have the person, someone says that "People should have self-esteem before self-confidence" because you must have the ability to believe and know in your strength as human being. But our self-confidence and Self-esteem should be have room for improvement, first of all you must know your weakness and strength as a person. Second think of qualities others say you excel in and lastly you do not have to think negative, you need to train yourself that when a problem comes, you will not feed the negative thought but keep the fight with a smile.
Self-esteem Vs. Self-Confidence, this is where each person should have because we can get the strength to use to combat various mental illness and at the same time here we also get inspiration to fight not only for our dreams but also to the problems we face.
